Croque Madame – Amsterdam

While I’m eating my lunch at Croque Madame, I’m simultaneously reviewing how we in Dutch call it the ‘tosti’. I opted for the classic version without the ham. The waiter asked if I wanted to substitute it with something else. He suggested tomatoes which I enjoy to eat with cheese! I looked for a nice seat, and a place to charge my phone but I discovered I forgot my charger. Therefore, you will have to wait for the photos! The egg is placed on top of the tosti with the sunny side up. Underneath there’s white gluten-free bread both sides covered with cheese. The croque madame is presented with a side salad of lettuce & tomato plus there is nice vinaigrette with I think contains a a bit of mosterd! Though it isn’t my favourite croque madame ever, I’m very happy this place exist. I’m looking forward with a next visit to try out one of the cakes!

€7,50 per cake!

The classic way!
