Chocolate hazelnut spread — Better than Nutella?

So Vegan So Fine Hazelnootpasta

Is this hazelnut paste better than Nutella? I believe it is — especially because this hazelnut paste is certified gluten- and lactose-free!

This is by far my favorite certified gluten-free hazelnut spread that I have tried — and I have tried many. From Germany, France and America all the way to the Netherlands. What I find really special about this chocolate paste, is the fact that it is vegan and thus does not contain any lactose!  This doesn’t affect the flavor in any way. How lucky for everyone out there that needs to eat gluten-free and has a lactose intolerance on top of that! They offer seven different flavors — all are gluten, soy-, and palm oil free, vegan, fairtrade and 100% organic! Recently, they added two new flavors: walnut and pistachio. These two are exclusively available at the Jumbo (a Dutch supermarket chain). Fun fact is that the brand behind it, Brinkers, states that after World War II one of the Brinkers sons created a new product named Choba and that this cooled cocoa butter-spread is the first chocolate paste ever produced in the entire world! Do visit their website to view the variety of Brinkers flavors!

To me, this hazelnut spread tastes almost the same as the highly favored brand Nutella — that says something! How great is that? I can’t get enough of it. Who (dis) agrees with me?!

For now, this brand is available in the Netherlands, Belgium & Spain.

Priced €4,15 (at time of posting) at the Albert Heijn, supermarket in the Netherlands.

Xenos in Belgium.

El Cortes Ingles in Spain.

Safety: this hazelnut spread is certified gluten-free; it’s accredited with a official celiac logo. The second logo — starting from the right side — is the official celiac logo. The official logo always has a number written underneath it, plus it starts with the letters where the product originates from in this case, NL for the Netherlands. The official logo is used throughout the EU!
